Gow’s Orkney
Orkney is an archipelago of around 70 islands situated in a strategic position between the North Sea and the Atlantic just off the north coast of Scotland.
For over 5,000 years the people of the islands have farmed the fertile soil and fished the surrounding seas.
It has often been said that Orkney men are hardy men ashore, good fishermen, splendid boatmen, strong, resilient and obedient to authority. However, not everyone it would seem.
